The new Olinda Play Space was a phase of the Olinda Precinct Plan commissioned by Victoria State Government, Parks Victoria and The Yarra Ranges Council.

Three two-meter-high discs designed by Emma Jennings, are placed in the landscape as if emerging out of the ground like the hills in the distance.

Each disc was fabricated by the team at Lump Studio using high grade aluminium construction and detailed with engravings on the face with botanical patterns referencing the local flora.  The discs are finished using site specific colours hand painted by Emma during visits to the Lump Studio.
