The new Knox Library features a beautiful artwork by Kamara Morgan, a proud Yorta Yorta, Gunai-Kurnai, Dja Dja Wurrung, Boonwurrung, Taungurung, and Baraparapa Aboriginal artist.

Kamara’s painting, titled Connection to Country, was transformed into a stunning ceiling feature with the help of Little Rocket and Mantric Architecture. The artwork now hangs as the centerpiece of the new Knox Library and has become part of the Knox Public Collection.

The piece reflects Knox Library’s Connection to Country, celebrating the library as a meeting place where the diverse voices of the community come together. It honors the stories of the land and its people, continuing to find their place in the ever-evolving narrative of our shared connection.
