Coleus Habrophyllus Flower Stem Forest

In the wild, Coleus Habrophyllus is rare, growing mostly in rocky outcrops and occurring in just seven known populations in Queensland, Springfield Rise Mountain Park is one of those locations.  Blooming in Spring and Summer it is a beautiful woody endangered herb that produces a mild lemon scent from the leaves when they are rubbed, and sprays of small purple flowers populate the stem attracting essential bees and butterflies alike.

The sculptural representations of the Coleus habrophyllus Flower bud and -Coleus habrophyllus Flower Stems were designed to encourage and assist the local community to identify the rare and endangered plant and inspire visitors and residents to celebrate the unique and rare plants in their local area, preserving the value and essential habitat of their unique and wonderful Springfield Rise Mountain Park.
