Lara

Commissioned by Phillip Withers for the Austin Land Sales Center in Lara.  Lump designed and fabricated a series of abstract organic forms to feature in a children’s play area.  Each form is an abstract representation of a budding flower form.  The sculptures offer not only and interesting sculptural installation but a little shade in some of the play areas.

The sculptural forms are constructed using faceted shapes and feature laser cut petals that filter light and create transparency.  Standing up to 3m in height made from corten steel with a natural rusted finish and positioned on large concrete plinths.
