Lump is anything but faux.
Over the last week we have talked about rust and all its glory. But what is not so glorious about rust is that it can and will leach a stain in poor weather.
This is not an issue if your rusty masterpiece is in a garden. But if you position a special rusty something over or on pale coloured stones and pavers for example, an unsightly rusty, red and brown stain will eventually leach out from under your beloved piece of art.
If you are actually trying to achieve the rustic, weathered look, by all means enjoy the development of your rusty stain. But if not, never fear. At Lump we have a solution.
Over the years we have developed our very own Faux rust finish. And unlike other Faux rust finishes we do not use iron filings within paint to generate the rusted appearance.
Although this is effective, it too may leach a stain in poor weather. And unlike powder coated rusted effects that have recently come to market, our Faux rust finish is not only matte in appearance, it is also textured.
To develop our Faux rust finish we painstakingly colour matched varied shades of rust to produce a multi-layered application. This is sprayed onto the surface of our work to mimic the look of real rust.
And it is because we apply our Faux rust effect ourselves in the studio that we can offer many varied shades of the rusted look.
Our Faux rust finish is stable and will not leach a stain or produce a dust. And best of all the Lump Faux rust finish will retain the integrity of the metal beneath.
Lump is anything but faux. But we do Faux rust really well.
