A creative design solution to hide away unsightly facilities in public spaces

The Cairns Substation project unlike most public art projects was fuelled out of necessity as a way to hide a large power substation which was an eyesore in the middle of a nature strip. Lump was approached to create a design solution which would hide the substation as well as look appealing. The solution which we settled on was a series of powder coated aluminium screens cut with our ‘golden ash pattern’.
