This was a tricky one. A diminishing wall with -7 degree angle and sheets set on 15 degrees provided a real challenge.
Welded in the studio and re-constructed on site
The materials and the range of colours complement each other.
Native grasses work really well to soften the straight lines and solid rust of Corten cladding.
Looking from the ground up gives a good perspective of the scale of this project.
A beautiful contemporary result.

Corten cladding project, set against heavy duty galvanised beams.
Cladding is often used to conceal an old fence or gate, the project also had the added bonus of increasing the client's privacy.
A curved edges of the kidney shaped pool provide a lovely balance with the straight lines of the galvanised steel.
Corten's tendancy to rust was considered by the owner of this home and space was allowed between the Corten panels and the edge of the deck for water to escape.

This private commission features 3mm Corten cladding mounted to the pool wall. Solid or laser cut panels provide a unique way of breaking up large expanses of wall. Corten's final colour is a very rich, velvety brown.
